WATERLOO, Ont. (January 26, 2018) - Wilfrid Laurier’s Department of Athletics and Recreation announced on Friday that the varsity basketball doubleheaders scheduled for Wednesday, January 31 against the Brock Badgers and Wednesday, February 7 against the Western Mustangs will be hosted at the University of Waterloo’s Physical Activities Complex (PAC).
The change of venue for the games was necessitated by the closure of the main court at the Athletic Complex with repairs on-going due to a flooding incident earlier this month.
The game times for the doubleheader on Wednesday, January 31 against Brock have also been adjusted as the women’s game will tip off at 5 p.m., an hour earlier than originally scheduled, followed by the men’s game at 7 p.m.
The women’s and men’s games on Wednesday, February 7 against Western will remain as 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. tipoffs respectively.
Fans making the trip over to the University of Waterloo will be able to access the game through the North entrance to the PAC where ticketing staff will be set up to sell and scan tickets. There is signage in place at other entrances to the building which will direct fans to the North entrance. To ease entrance into the games, fans are encouraged to buy tickets ahead of time online at tickets.laurierathletics.com.
Parking for fans will be available for free in Lot X, located on the north side of the Optometry building on Hagey Blvd., or pay and display in Lot M, located off of Ring Road and a short walk up the hill from the North entrance of the PAC.
