GUELPH, Ont. (January 26, 2018) – Grain Farmers of Ontario, #TrainWithGrains Campaign is now accepting entries.

#TrainWithGrains is a social campaign in partnership with Ontario University Athletics (OUA) engaging Ontario University students to how they fuel their bodies with healthy grain-based foods and perform an athletic ability. The Campaign spans over an eight week duration beginning on January 8, 2018 and ending on March 1, 2018. The contest will be promoted online using the universities social sites as well as Grain Farmers of Ontario’s, public outreach campaign: Good in Every Grain.

Students have to record themselves talking/showing how they #TrainWithGrains and demonstrating an athletic feat.   Videos are posted on the #TrainWithGrains contest page and will be tagged using the #TrainWithGrains hashtag as well as tagging their university and Good in Every Grain. Male and Female videos with the most VIEWS will advance to the Final.

During the course of the Campaign, there will be weekly prizes awarded to one Male and one Female courtesy of adidas.

The Final will occur at the University of Guelph on Thursday March 15, 2018 where contestants will compete in a series of activities themed around “Food, Fitness and Friends”.  There will be a point system awarded for each activity with the following cash prizes for each Male and Female contestant.

“We are excited to be partnering with the Ontario University Association this winter to highlight the importance of eating a healthy diet amongst the university student population. Train With Grains is a social competition which will encourage students to incorporate grains into their diets as well as showcasing their athletic ability.
