Playing 28 minutes in the first game against the Algoma Thunderbirds, Kokko had 24 points as he shot 10-for-17 from the field and 2-for-4 from the three-point range alongside two rebounds and one steal leading the purple and gold to a 80-53 success. In the second game of the doubleheader, he paved the way to victory when he scored 28 points in 28 minutes while adding six assists and five steals, scoring or assisting on 16 of the Hawks' 22 field goals as the Hawks edged the Thunderbirds 62-52. He now ranks fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 21.6 points per game

This is Kokko’s fifth time earning the Male Athlete of the Week honours and second time this season.

Morrison, a fifth-year communications major, was once again the Hawks leader this past weekend to help the team post a pair of wins over Algoma. In the first game of the weekend, she paced Laurier with 17 points, seven assists and three rebounds in a 67-50 win.  On Saturday, Morrison stuffed the stats sheet where in just 24 minutes she had 31 points, seven steals, five assists, four rebounds and netted 31 points to get Laurier back to .500 as they won 75-48. With her strong performance, the Hawks star hit 30-plus points for the second time this season making her the second player in school history to have multiple 30-plus point games in their career. Morrison also eclipsed 300 points for the season as she became the second player in school history to reach the milestone twice in their career. The performance moved Morrison to fourth in U SPORTS scoring, and second in OUA, at 20.7 points per game.

This is Morrison’s ninth time earning Female Athlete of the Week honours and third time this season.
