Hawks close out 2017 home schedule against No. 10 Badgers before facing Lancers on the road

The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks will play their final game at home in 2017 on Thursday night when they host the No. 10 Brock Badgers before hitting the road to face the Windsor Lancers to close out their weekend.

- the Hawks enter play this weekend coming off a 3-1 loss to the Western Mustangs in their last contest
- Brock has won three straight games to move into the U SPORTS Top 10, including a 2-1 shootout victory over Windsor in their last game
- the Lancers have suffered three straight losses coming into play this weekend, all by one goal margins
- Laurier has five wins in their last six meetings with the Badgers, including a 3-1 victory over Brock in their last meeting in January, 2017
- conversely, the Hawks have lost two of their last three matchups with Windsor, with their last game in February, 2017 resulting in a 5-2 victory for the Lancers 
- Laurier and Windsor are currently tied for last in the OUA with both teams managing just one victory each this season

Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (1-0-5-1)

F Aynsley Harrison (Corunna, Ont.)
- after picking up an assist in Laurier’s last game against Western, the second year forward is now tied for the team lead in scoring with three points in seven games
- the helper gives her 10 points in her career with the purple and gold

D Rebecca Hall (Claremont, Ont.)
- rookie defenceman tallied her first career goal last Saturday against the Mustangs
- has points in back-to-back games after picking up an assist against York

No. 10 Brock Badgers (5-2-2-1)

G Jensen Murphy (Kingsont, Ont.)
- third year netminder has brought her game to a new level, and with it, a new level for the Badgers who entered the Top 10 in Canada this week
- starting all 10 games for Brock this season, she ranks second in the OUA in save percentage at 0.966 and fourth in goals against average at 1.19

Windsor Lancers (0-1-7-2)

F Larisaa Borowiec (Mississauga, Ont.)
- fourth year forward leads the Lancers in scoring this season with a goal and five assists through 10 games this season
- has recorded at least a point in three of Windsor’s last four games
