PREVIEW: MHKY set to play York and Western
Golden Hawks look to disrupt York's undefeated record and take the victory over Western this week

THE LOW-DOWN
The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s hockey team will be facing off against the York Lions and the Western Mustangs this week where they will undoubtedly look to climb in the rankings. 

NEED TO KNOW
- The Golden Hawks are currently in second place in the OUA West standings, with nine points off a 4-1-1 record
- The Lions are in first place in the OUA West standings, with twelve points and an undefeated 6-0-0 record 
- With just two points, the Western Mustangs are in last place in the OUA West standings with a 1-4-0 mark on the season
- Laurier last played both these teams in the 2016-17 season; the Hawks had a 4-3 victory followed by a 4-3 loss against the Lions; Against the Mustangs the Hawks suffered a 2-1 loss followed by a 4-3 overtime loss 

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (4-1-1)

G Chris Festarini (Oakville, Ont.)
- The fourth-year business major is a brick wall in net as he is unbeaten this season with a 4-0-0 record
-  Currently first in the OUA individual standings for win percentage with 1.00%, fifth for save percentage with .940%, and sixth for goals-against average with 1.96.

York Lions (6-0-0)

G Mack Shields (Saskatoon, Sask.)
- The second year accounting major leads in the OUA individual standings as he is first for: goals-against average with 1.33, save percentage with .964%, and win percentage with 1.00%. 
- The netminder is undefeated this season with a 6-0-0 record

Western Mustangs (1-4-0)

LW Spenser Cobbold (Ottawa, Ont.)
- The first-year social science major leads the team with five points on the season
- Currently leading the Voyageurs with three power-play goals and two assists

Following this, the Hawks will look to capitalize on home ice where they will play the Brock Badgers on Friday, November 10 and the Windsor Lancers on Saturday, November 11 at the Sun Life Financial Arena. Puck is set to drop at 7:07 pm for both matchups.
