THE SKINNY
On Friday afternoon, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s soccer team will face the Waterloo Warriors at University Stadium. It’s the second edition of the men's soccer 2017 Battle of Waterloo, in a rematch of a September 10th match that ended in a 2-2 draw at Warrior Field. A packed crowd is expected as several school children from the Waterloo region will fill the stands for this year’s version of the school-day game. The Golden Hawks are coming off a weekend in which they earned one point, drawing against McMaster and losing against Guelph. The Hawks are 3-7-2 on the season. Meanwhile, the Warriors have lost five straight games and hold a 1-8-2 record.
