XC finish strong at Don Mills Open
Wilfrid Laurier women's team finished third and men's team finished fourth in team standings.

WATERLOO, Ont. (September 30, 2017) - The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks cross country teams participated in the Don Mills Open hosted by the Waterloo Warriors where the women’s team finished third and the men’s team finished fourth in the team standings.

Competing against 12 other teams, Laurier’s women finished third thanks to yet another outstanding afternoon from third year Bettina Boucher of Whitby, Ont. Boucher finished third out of 70 runners as she posted a time of 23 minutes, 11.44 seconds on the six-kilometer course.

In the men’s event, Joe Sheridan of Waterloo, Ont. was triumphant placing first out of 102 runners thanks to a time of 25 minutes, 37.2 seconds. Dan Hilbers of Port Elgin, Ont.,  kept the momentum going with a time of 26 minutes, 4.99 seconds placing him in third. 

Laurier’s next meet is the Brock Invitational in St.Catharines, Ont., on Saturday, October 21st.
