Brantford wins Fair Play Campus of the Year
For the second time, Laurier's Brantford campus takes home the OCCCR Fair Play Campus of the Year Award

Last week at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Associations (OCAA) Annual General Meeting, Laurier's Brantford campus was awarded the Fair Play Campus of the Year for their Extramural successes within the Ontario Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation (OCCCR) for the 2016-17 year.

Brantford won this award for having won the most Fair Play Team of the Tournament Awards this past year. These awards were provided to Co-Ed Soccer (Humber Lakeshore Tournament), Women's Ice Hockey (Fanshawe Tournament), Women's Basketball (Laurier Brantford Host Tournament), Co-Ed Dodgeball (George Brown Tournament) and Men's Basketball (Mohawk Tournament) throughout their seasons.

In order to be eligible for the Fair Play Team of the Tournament Award, players and teams must:
1.Respect the officials & tournament staff
2.Respect your opponents
3.Respect your team mates
4.Respect the facilities in which you play
5.Maintain self-control at all times
6.Condemn violence and harassment in all forms
7.Share equipment, space and facilities willingly
8.Always attempt to contribute to the betterment of the extramural experience

"This is the second time that we have won the Fair Play Campus of the Year Award and we want to extend a big congratulations to all of our athletes for earning this prestigious award!"
