A Great Start to the Competitive Season
Competitive Dance team competes in Guelph

Starting off the competition in Guelph this past Saturday, the team enthusiastically showed their Laurier spirit and achieved great success. Here are some of the teams achievements from the competition:
1st Overall Small Group - Upgrade You, Choreographed by Mitch Daniels
5th Overall Small Group - Lift Me Up, Choreographed by Rachel Gerber
2nd Overall Extended Line - Breath of Life, Choreographed by Emily Battalia
3rd Overall Extended Line - Never Let Go, Choreographed by Alessandra Santaguida and Catherine Fitzsimmons
The team also won two special awards. The first was a Judges Choice Award for exhibiting strong focus and intensity, awarded to Breath of Life, choreographed by Emily Battalia. The second was a Choreography Award for Never Let Go, choreographed by Alessandra Santaguida and Catherine Fitzsimmons. When the award was announced, team member Brian Reitzel was called up to receive the award, and was praised for his outstanding partnering and talent.
The team will be competing again this coming Saturday March 16 at the Sanderson Centre in Brantford.
