Have fun at camp and walk away with certification that can help save lives. One step closer to becoming a certified lifeguard! Participants are provided with the knowledge, skill, fitness and judgement required to respond to complex water rescue situations in a fun filled camp setting.
In Bronze Medallion participants will learn tows, carries, defense methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescuers of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types.
Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training including introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities. Bronze Cross candidates will also be certified with CPR-C and program will includes a timed 600 m swim. Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for all advanced training programs including National Lifeguard and Instructor certification.
Participants will have the chance to develop team work and communication skills through fun camp-style activities and rock-climb! 100% participation is required.
Current certified lifeguards and lifesaving swim instructors will provide instruction and supervision for the camp.
Prerequisite for Bronze Med: Bronze Star or 13 years old by exam (last day)

Fee includes: Canadian Lifesaving Manual and Bronze Medallion workbook!
Prerequisite for Bronze Cross: Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid
Cost: $ 243.00 for the week (includes Bronze Cross workbook)
Canadian First Aid Manual can be purchased separately

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
