THE LOW-DOWN
Following a tough game against the No. 8 Guelph Gryphons on Thursday, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s hockey team will be back on home ice Saturday night against the Waterloo Warriors. With Head Coach Greg Puhalski just one win shy of 100 regular season victories, the team is sure to be amped up to take home another win from their cross town rivals.

NEED TO KNOW
- The Golden Hawks are currently tied for second in the OUA West standings with 13-6-2 record and 28 points on the season
- Waterloo enters the game sitting ninth in the division, three points out of a playoff spot
- The Hawks own a six-game winning streak against their cross-town rivals dating back to 2015

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (13-6-2)

RW Will Cook (Port Stanley, Ont.)
-    Currently has 13 points on the season consisting of a team-leading nine goals along with four assists
-    Has contributed in all situations, striking twice on the powerplay and once shorthanded while netting two game winners
-    Scored once and added an assist against the Warriors already this season

Waterloo Warriors (6-11-3)

D Ryan Hanes (Kanata, Ont.)
-    Currently has nine points on the season consisting of three goals and six assists
-    he is the only Warrior to score on the Hawks this season, scoring twice in Waterloo's 3-2 loss last week

Following this, the Hawks will be heading to the Thompson Arena to face off against the Western Mustangs on Thursday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. Then, Laurier will be back on home ice for their annual Autograph Day on January 27, 2018 where they will face the Guelph Gryphons at 1:30 p.m.
