THE LOW-DOWN
The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks continue their four-game road swing this weekend with a weekend doubleheader on the road against the Windsor Lancers.

NEED TO KNOW
- The Golden Hawks are currently third in the OUA West standings, with 24 points off a 11-5-2 record 
- The Windsor Lancers are entering play this week on a two-game losing streak and are currently tied for sixth place in the OUA West standings with 17 points thanks to a 6-7-5 record
- After Windsor eliminated the Hawks from the playoffs last season, Laurier exacted a measure of revenge in their first meeting of the year, a 2-1 victory on home ice that extended Laurier's regular season winning streak against the Lancers to four games

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (11-5-2)

D Alex Adams (Orangeville, Ont.)
- The communication studies major currently has two goals and five assists on the season
- Last year against the Lancers, Adams chipped in on offence, picking up an assist in each of his team's regular season victories.

Windsor Lancers (6-7-5)

F Chris Scott (Windsor, Ont.)
- The forward leads the team in goal scoring this season with seven on the year, two of which have been game-winning tallies
- Scott has also been deadly on the powerplay, and leads Windsor with three powerplay goals on the season.

Following this week’s double header, the Golden Hawks will be off to Guelph on Thursday, January 18 to play the Gryphons in their annual Frosty Mug game as two of the top teams in the OUA West Division square off for the first time this season. Laurier will then be back on home ice for their third meeting of the Battle of Waterloo on Saturday, January 20 to play against the Waterloo Warriors.
