Coming off their first win of the season, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (1-0-4-1) will look to keep their winning momentum rolling when they host the Western Mustangs (4-1-2-1) on Saturday afternoon.

- Saturday's game against Western is a Dollar Days promotion game where Laurier students can watch the Hawks for just $1

- Laurier snapped a five-game losing streak to start the season with a solid 4-2 victory over the York Lions on Sunday night
- the Hawks have lost their last two meetings with the Mustangs, including a 2-0 loss and a 3-2 shootout loss last year
- Laurier currently sits 12th in the 13-team conference with four points through six games
- Western is tied for second place with Brock and Guelph, sitting on 15 points entering play this week

Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (1-0-4-1)

D Jamie Watson (Georgetown, Ont.)
- second year defenceman was a key contributor to the Hawks’ offensive outburst against York as she tallied three assists in the victory, the first multi-point game of her Laurier career
- currently tied for 10th in scoring among defencemen in the OUA this season

F Emily Visser (Caledonia, Ont.)
- rookie forward tallied the first goal and assist of her Laurier career against the Lions last weekend as one of three Hawks to record a multi-point game

Western Mustangs (4-1-2-1)

F April Clark (St. Marys, Ont.)
- third year forward as led a Mustangs offensive charge that ranks third in the conference in goals scored this season
- she leads the team in goals with five and points with seven and is on pace for the best season of her career
