WATERLOO, Ont (October 23, 2017) - The Wilfrid Laurier Athletics and Recreation Department is pleased to announce their participation in Thrive. This is a new Waterloo campus-wide mental health initiative at the university, running from October 23rd – 27th.
Thrive is a week-long series of events focusing on building positive mental health. Different events aimed at promoting positive mental health will be hosted each day across campus.
More specifically, as a part of this series of events, Laurier Recreation will be offering free Group Exercise classes on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2017 for all students.

During Group Ex. classes, students will have the chance to post on “Thrive mirrors" in each studio. This will allow participants to write on sticky notes to share how they thrive at Laurier.
As a part of Thrive, volunteers with the Athletics and Recreation Department are also conducting stretch breaks during various lectures this week.
Next up for free Group Exercise classes, say “Trick-or-Treat” at the Hawk Desk, as Laurier students will be able to participate in a free class of their choice on October 31st, 2017.
