THE LOW DOWN
Following a month-long holiday break, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (7-2) return to conference action this weekend as they host a pair of OUA North teams in the No. 2 Carleton Ravens (4-1) and the Ottawa Gee-Gees (4-1).

NEED TO KNOW
- Laurier has split their last four meetings with both Carleton and Ottawa, owning a 2-2 record, but lost their matchups with the Ravens and Gee-Gees a year ago
- the Hawks have won four of their last five games overall thanks to sweeping Laurentian and Nipissing in their final games before the holiday break
- Friday's game against the Ravens marks Laurier's fourth contest against a Top 10 team already this season with the Hawks owning a 1-2 record in their previous three games against nationally-ranked opposition
- Carleton enters the weekend as the second-ranked team in the country and are riding a four-game winning streak
- Ottawa opened their 2016-17 campaign with three consecutive victories but had their winning streak snapped by No. 3 McMaster Marauders before closing out 2016 with a win over Brock
