Two of the best teams in the OUA in the early part of the season clash on Saturday afternoon as the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (5-1) tangle with the No. 5 Windsor Lancers (5-0) at the Athletic Complex.

- Laurier enters the game on a two-game winning streak after picking up wins over York and Western following their first loss of the season to Queen’s
- the Lancers have an unblemished record including a lopsided win over the Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday
- although Windsor has dominated the head-to-head matchup over the last eight years, winning all but one game, the last four meetings between the two schools have been decided by less than 10 points, including a 60-53 win by the Hawks back in January 2015
- Saturday’s game marks the third for the purple and gold against a Top 10 opponent already this season with the Hawks defeating Ryerson before narrowly falling to the Gaels
- Laurier and Windsor are the only two teams in the OUA to have five wins this season

Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (5-1)

G Kaitlyn Schenck (Kitchener, Ont.)
- having the best season of her career, Schenck has been at her best in leading the Hawks to wins in their last two games
- after scoring 30 against York last Saturday, the fifth year guard had her third 20-plus point performance of the year against Western

G RACHEL WOODBURN (Courtice, Ont.)
- the rookie guard is coming off her best performance of her young career on Wednesday against Western
- playing 19 minutes against the Mustangs, Woodburn finished with six points while adding five rebounds and two steals

Windsor Lancers (5-0) - No. 5 in Canada

G Carly Steer (Windsor, Ont.)
- third year has been outstanding for Windsor coming off the bench this season, posting a team-high 15.4 points per game in less than 20 minutes of playing time per contest
