THE LOW DOWN
Off to their best start in three years, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (3-0) will look to remain unbeaten as they hit the road to take on the No. 7 Queen’s Gaels (2-0) and the York Lions (0-1).

NEED TO KNOW
- Laurier’s quick start to the season has them tied for first place in the conference with three wins
- Friday’s matchup against Queen’s will be the purple and gold’s second game against a Top 10 opponent this year 
- the Hawks defeated the Ryerson Rams, who were ranked No. 7 in Canada at the time, 68-66 in their home opener
- the Gaels are off to a strong start to their year, posting big road wins over York and Guelph
- York’s only game of the season was an 85-54 loss to Queen’s on home court
- the last four games between Laurier and Queen’s have been decided by four points or fewer, with the Hawks winning three of those games
- Laurier dropped a 77-65 decision to York a season ago, their first loss the the Lions in four games

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (3-0)

G Kaitlyn Schenck (Kitchener, Ont.)
- playing the best basketball of her career, the fifth year guard has shown her veteran savvy through the team’s first three games
- getting to the line nearly eight times per game, Schenck ranks second in the conference in that category and has helped her average 17.7 points per game this season

G NICOLE MORRISON (Hamilton)
- despite missing a portion of the preseason with an injury, the 2015-16 OUA First Team All-Star has shown very few signs of rust in Laurier’s first three games
- playing 30 minutes per game, Morrison finds herself tenth in the OUA in points per game at 15.0 and is second in the conference in total assists with 14

Queen’s Gaels (2-0) – ranked No. 7 in Canada

F Robin Pearson (Toronto)
- the fifth year post has been one of the Gaels top players through the team’s first two games, averaging a double-double of 14.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per contest

York Lions (0-1)

G Ishanaa Seupersadsingh (Markham, Ont.)
- a fifth year guard, Seupersadsingh got off to a strong start in York’s only game of the year, scoring a team-high 13 points while shooting 42.9 percent from the floor
