BRANTFORD, Ont. (May 17, 2016) - Wilfrid Laurier University’s Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the appointment of Melissa Bowden as the Interim Assistant Coordinator, Fitness and Lifestyle Programs at Laurier Brantford effective May 17, 2016 until June 18, 2017.
Bowden is a graduate from the Bachelor of Arts, Psychology and Biology program at Laurier. She was a student leader in Athletics and Recreation on Waterloo's campus with the Multisport camps and customer service areas.
“Melissa has a passion for Laurier and the Athletics and Recreation programs. She was an exceptional student leader with Athletics and Recreation and I am confident she will bring her skills and experiences from that role to this position,” commented Associate Director, Recreation and Facilities, Patricia Kitchen. “I anticipate that Melissa will ingest her enthusiasm and passion into the programs and services and will provide great leadership to the student leader team.”
