Wilfrid Laurier University’s Department of Athletics and Recreation, is pleased to announce the appointment of MEGAN JACKLIN as the interim Fitness and Lifestyle Programs Coordinator at Laurier Brantford effective May 2, 2016 until June 18, 2017. Jacklin replaces Kristin Fernandes who will be on leave.
Megan, a graduate from the Bachelor of Science, Honours Health Science program from Laurier, has been the Assistant Coordinator, Fitness and Lifestyle Programs at Laurier Brantford since November 2014. Megan has been leading the integrated fitness and personal training program between Laurier Brantford and the Brantford YMCA, as well as supporting intramurals and extramurals programs and customer service within Athletics and Recreation.
“Megan has demonstrated that she is passionate about recreation and sport.” commented Associate Director, Recreation and Facilities, Patricia Kitchen. “She has played a role in advancing the programs and services and growing the relationship with the Brantford Y which will establish a foundation for when we move into the new facility in 2018. Megan is well respected by our Student Leaders and student participants and I look forward to working with her to implement new ideas to grow our programs.”

Our upcoming collaboration with the Brantford YMCA will provide us with some exciting opportunities this year and I am looking forward to building on that relationship in preparation for our new facility. We have a great set of Student Leaders coming in next year and I am looking forward to challenging them within their leadership roles, as well as working closely with them to continue strengthening our program offerings for the Laurier Brantford community.”
