THE SKINNY
With their spot in the OUA playoffs secured, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (8-11) will look to head into the postseason on a winning note as they host the Waterloo Warriors (4-15) in their first School Day Game Thursday morning.

NEED TO KNOW
- Laurier has won 14 straight decisions over Waterloo, including an 88-56 win over the Warriors in their first meeting this season back in November
- both the Hawks and Warriors are coming off winless weekends as they travelled to Ottawa to face two of the top teams in the province, the Carleton Ravens and the No. 6 Ottawa Gee-Gees
- Laurier had a tough game in their opener as they lost by 23 to Carleton but rebounded with a strong effort against the Gee-Gees, losing a narrow 68-64 decision
- meanwhile, the Warriors suffered a pair of blowout losses, losing by 21 to Ottawa on Friday before falling by 52 to Carleton on Saturday
- Thursday’s game is expected to draw over 1,500 Waterloo Region school children to the Athletic Complex for the Athletics and Recreation department’s fifth School Day Game and first to feature female varsity athletes
