WATERLOO, Ont. (October 31, 2013) - Effective Friday, November 1st at 6 a.m., access through the main entrance of the Athletic Complex will be permitted. At that time we will no longer be using the current east exterior (King St. Entrance) as our access point.
During this time there will be small adjustments to our service as we will still be using our Equipment desk (across from the gymnasium) as the location for locks, towels and equipment and our new Hawk Desk in the main entrance for all points of sale and inquiries. Within a week all services will be run from our New Hawk Desk located in the main entrance.
We are also excited to announce that more equipment and space will be made available on our second floor, including our new multi-purpose space overlooking the main lobby. With this space opening, the only areas on the second floor that remain inaccessible are the two new studio spaces. Signage will be posted outlining what areas are accessible for use.
Please ensure that you present your Laurier One card or Facility Access card to gain access to the facility. You will require this card in order for access to be granted.
The new Fitness Centre will be an industry leader in providing a full, inclusive experience for all types of users. The fully completed space will feature approximately $800,000 worth of new equipment as well as a dramatic increase in the space for cardio, free weights, strength training and stretching zones while also adding a TRX training station and two studios.
