WATERLOO, Ont. (October 19, 2013) - Will Coulthard
of Oakville, Ont., scored 35 points to lead the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men's basketball team past the Brock Badgers 104-95 on Saturday evening at the Naismith Classic.
With the win, the Hawks improve to 2-0 at the event and will face Waterloo in the finale Sunday afternoon with a chance to leave as champions of the tournament.
Coulthard powered Laurier thanks to an impressive night from the field that saw the third year guard shoot 12-for-21 from the floor, including 5-for-10 from three point range.
Four other Hawks also reached double-digits in scoring including Max Allin
of Chatham, Ont., who had 16 points and seven rebounds. Jack Simmons
of Cambridge, Ont., JAMES FORDE
of Mississauga, Ont., and James Agyeman
of Toronto, each chipped in with 15 points.
Leading the way for the Badgers was Rashad Morley of Welland, Ont., who had 21 points in a losing effort.
The Hawks and Warriors will wrap up the Naismith Classic tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Physical Activities Complex.
