WATERLOO, Ont. (October 6, 2013) - Despite an impressive offensive performance from rookie SARAH DILLON of Welland, Ont., the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks women's basketball team lost 73-54 to the Alberta Pandas on Saturday night.

The difference in this contest was a balanced offensive attack from Alberta that saw three players, Saskia VanGinhoven of Edmonton, Renee Byrne of Devon, Alta., and Kendra Asleson of Richmond, B.C., each score 13 points.

As for the Hawks, it was Dillon leading the way as she finished the game 4-of-5 from three point range in leading to 19 points. She also chipped in on the boards with four rebounds.

Whitney Ellenor of Pickering, Ont., was also strong posting 10 points and eight rebounds.

Laurier will wrap up their three-game non-conference weekend on Sunday afternoon with a matchup against the Bishops Gaiters. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. at the Athletic Complex.
