WATERLOO, Ont. (July 16, 2013) - Wilfrid Laurier men's hockey head coach GREG PUHALSKI
announced his open tryout schedule for the 2013-14 season.
Tryouts will be held over a two day period, from September 3 to 4 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. The tryouts will run between 2 and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3 and between 3 and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4.
The cost to tryout is $60 per player and this fee must be paid on the first day of the tryout. Interested athletes must also complete one of the two health assessment forms found below depending on if they are a first year student-athlete or a returning student-athlete.
Those interested in trying out will need to pre-register for the tryouts by e-mailing Coach Puhalski (firstname.lastname@example.org) before August 27. In the e-mail, please indicate your two preferred positions (G, D, C, LW, or RW).
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MEDICAL INFORMATION:
Incoming first year student athletes (including freshmen, transfer students,and WLU students not in first year who have not participated in an interuniversity sport) are required to have completed, by a physician, the Initial Health Assessment Form before they participate in an interuniversity sport, which includes the first try-out. Returning student athletes are required to complete the Veteran Athlete Health Assessment Form, before they participate in interuniversity sport, which includes the first try-out. Any athlete who has been prescribed any medications must declare them on their medical questionnaire.
