Women's basketball tryouts scheduled

WATERLOO, Ont. (August 18, 2011) - Wilfrid Laurier women's basketball head coach PAUL FALCO has announced the tryout schedule for the 2011-12 season. 

There will be a mandatory meeting in the Hawk Lounge, located on the upper level of the Athletic Complex, for all athletes interested in trying out on Monday, September 12th at 4:30pm. Players should have their completed medical forms (see below) with them at this meeting. 

Open tryouts will take place starting on Tuesday, September 13th at 4:30pm in the Main Gym, also located in the Athletic Complex.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MEDICAL INFORMATION: 

Incoming first year student athletes (including freshmen, transfer students, and WLU students not in first year who have not participated in an interuniversity sport) are required to have completed by a physician, The Initial Health Assessment Form, before he participates in an interuniversity sport, which includes the first try-out. Returning student athletes are required to complete The Veteran Athlete Health Assessment Form, before he participates in interuniversity sport, which includes the first try-out. This form updates the student athlete's medical history over the past 12 months. Forms can be found by clicking on the following link: http://www.laurierathletics.com/therapy/TF-VET.pdf
