WLU XC 2010 Team Preview
In 2009, the Golden Hawks cross country team turned heads with a resurgent season that included team and individual victories at the Brock Open as well as a ticket to the CIS championships.

Now a year into the rebuilding plan centred on truculence, belligerence and a lunch-pail attitude, the 2010 Hawks are poised to build off of last year’s success.

Back for a second year is head coach PETER GRINBERGS, joined by his coaching staff Rich Tremain, Westley Alkin and Darryl Blackport.

Grinbergs is renowned for developing a stable of high calibre runners, having produced CIS and NCAA champions in his 30+ years coaching.

Returning from 2009 is Alex Garriock, Brent Meidinger, Brett Cameron, Catherine Sukkau, Courtney Brohart, Emily Ford, Erin Kurpe, Gary Storey, Jennifer Laughton, Jonathan Gascho, Jordan Fox, Keegan Castrillo, Kristen Avery, Lindsay Wright, Peter Keen, Shoaib Ikram, Sohaib Ikram and Spencer Ingram.

This returning team will be joined by a large group of some of the most talented rookies in Ontario it includes a number of OFSAA finalists.
