WAA Hosts 5th Annual Live Fit Day
New special initiative for Women on Weights
On Sunday, October 18th, the Women’s Athletic Association will be hosting their Fifth Annual Live Fit Day at the Athletic Complex. Live Fit Day is devoted to free, fun classes for all female students on campus.
This year is the start of a new initiative: Women on Weights (WOW). The fitness centre will be opened an hour early exclusively for this event for all participants to go through the equipment with a personal trainer to learn how to use the machines and how each machine will benefit your personal work out.
Live Fit Day will begin at 11 a.m. for the Women on Weights session. Starting at noon, four sessions will begin:
- Rock climbing
- Cycle fit
The day will conclude at 3 p.m. All sessions are voluntary; you can pick and choose which stations you would like to attend.
Food and prizes will be available throughout the day so come on down to the Athletic Complex, bring your friends, and enjoy a fun day of physical activity! The Women’s Athletic Association looks forward to seeing you on Sunday!
