WATERLOO, Ont – The Wilfrid Laurier men’s baseball team has moved their September 20th double-header against the Western Mustangs to Arnold Anderson stadium in Brantford to increase varsity sports’ profile in the area. The games will be played at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
"We're very excited to get our program exposure in the Brantford area as I
know that Brantford is a great baseball city with a strong baseball
tradition," said head coach SCOTT BALLANTYNE
. "The baseball fans in Brantford should be in for a treat as Western always provides tough competition and these two games will showcase some of the best players that the OUA has to offer."
The men’s baseball team finished the 2008 season with a 7-11 record and missed the playoffs for the first time in three years.
Laurier’s men’s hockey team will also be playing two games in Brantford this season. The first is an exhibition game against the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, September 19th and the second will celebrate Homecoming in Branford as the Hawks take on the Windsor Lancers on Saturday, October 17th. Both games will be played at the Brantford Civic Centre
