WATERLOO – The women’s team bounced back after last weekend’s loss to Toronto to pick up their 11th victory of the regular season with a 6-1 drubbing of the Western Mustangs at Pillars Ice in RIM Park.
“The team responded well to last weekend’s loss in Toronto with a hard week of practice,” said Head Coach RICK OSBORNE
. “We played well today, it was a good way to take us into the exam break.”
Captain Laurissa Kenworthy
of Newmarket, Ont. opened scoring only two-minutes into the game.
of Collingwood, Ont. scored the game-winner later in the period. The defenseman moved up to inside of the circle and let one go beating Mustang goalie Danielle Le Ber on her glove-side.

. Knox was challenged only 11 more times through the evening stopping them all. The Hawks out-shot their opponents by 16 pucks on net.
