WATERLOO – After twenty years of working for Wilfrid Laurier University, Agnes Pitsch has chosen to retire.
The front-line Golden Hawk staff joined the department in 1994 after a brief stint in the registrar’s office. Since then she has been keeping the department in line taking care of administrators, coaches, athletes and day-to-day customers. This past April at the Golden Hawk Athletic Banquet, Agnes was given the Earle C. Shelley Unsung Hero Award for her time and effort in helping others in their pursuit of excellence as well as contributing to the overall success of the athletic program.
“We wish Agnes well in her retirement and hope to see her in the stands cheering on the Golden Hawks,” said Director of Athletics and Recreation PETER BAXTER
A party was held for Agnes on June 12th where many of her friends and family were in attendance to thank her for her years of friendship and service. The department presented a travel voucher to her and her husband Rainer as a token of thanks.
