Head Coach - Men’s Hockey
You will lead our national level competitive men’s hockey program with a vision and an annual plan to achieve success. As Head Coach, you must create an environment that is conducive to the holistic development of student athletes. Accountable for managing the men’s hockey operations, you will coach and recruit student athletes, manage assistant coaching staff, and participate in revenue generating activities and projects that meet the program’s financial objectives. As well, you will be responsible for developing relations with alumni and the community.
Your strong technical background with practical coaching at a highly competitive level is enhanced by leadership competencies including vision, achievement orientation, facilitation / development of athletes, communication skills, and the ability to recruit and retain highly qualified student athletes.
This coaching contract requires that you have values consistent with the high standards of Wilfrid Laurier University. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree as well as 5 years’ demonstrated experience coaching with high performance athletes. You have proven competence as a coach and a Level III coaching certification is an asset. We welcome those who share our vision and pursuit of excellence.
