Waterloo, ON - The 2004 edition of the Wilfrid Laurier Men’s Baseball team finished tied for 4th in the extremely competitive OUA division and will look to improve upon that performance in 2005. The 2005 team will begin the quest to improve upon last season’s 8-10 regular season record on Thursday August 25th. The OUA season begins on September 3rd and this gives the team a week to prepare to travel to Guelph to open up the season on the road against the defending regular season champs.
The open workouts will be held in Waterloo, some nights at Bechtel Park and some nights at RIM Park. Bechtel Park is located on Bridge St. in Waterloo. From WLU, travel East on University Ave. and turn right on Bridge St. Bechtel Park is on the right hand side with the baseball stadium located in the back left corner of the park. RIM Park Diamond #3 is located on University Ave. in Waterloo. Travel East on University past Bridge and out of the city limits. Diamond #3 is located on the left hand side just after the hockey arena.
All players should meet at the Athletic Complex at 5:00PM on Thursday August 25th to meet the coaching staff and sign in. The complete schedule of workouts is as follows:

There will be a $40 try-out fee to cover some initial fees before the season begins. Each player trying out will receive a WLU Baseball T-Shirt
