WATERLOO – Tomorrow morning Wilfrid Laurier University will launch season two of ‘Laurier Hawk Talk’, the 60-minute sport magazine on 570 News.
“The relationship with 570 News has allowed us to promote many of the talented student-athletes in the Kitchener-Waterloo region,” said Director of Athletics & Recreation PETER BAXTER
. “We’re excited to continue with the second season of this successful program.”
Award winning journalist David Grossman will again serve as host, and the show will continue to promote Golden Hawk athletes, coaches, alumni as well as community and high school programs and athletes.
‘Laurier Hawk Talk’ takes a new spot in the 570 News Saturday morning lineup, at 10am. “570 News is thrilled to be associated with Wilfrid Laurier University,” said 570 News Program Director Don Kollins. “Through ‘Laurier Hawk Talk’ and the Golden Hawk football broadcasts, we’re setting a new standard for radio coverage of amateur sport in Canada.”
The first show of the 2004 season will include Director of Athletics & Recreation, PETER BAXTER
; President and Vice Chancellor, Dr. Robert Rosehart; Manager of Football Operations and Head Coach, Gary Jeffries
; Kinesiology Professor, Dr. Stephen Wenn; Football Alumnus, Rod Philp and Student Athlete Ashley Stephenson
, member of the Canadian National Women's Baseball Team.
