Bree Chaput, a co-captain with the women's basketball team, was announced today as the 2014 Outstanding Women of Laurier during a luncheon at the Waterloo Inn Conference Hotel on Thursday afternoon.

The No. 8 seeded Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks were defeated by the No. 4 seeded McGill Marlets 58-51 in the consolation semifinal of the ArcelorMittal Dofasco CIS women's basketball championship.

WBASK falls to Lancers at Nationals

The Windsor Lancers defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks 81-53 in the CIS quarter-final. Laurier will now play McGill in the consolation side of the tournament.

For the second time in four years, the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks women's basketball is off to nationals as they head to Windsor for the 2014 ArcelorMittal Dofasco CIS Championship starting on March 14.

Kimberley Yeldon - Forward - Women's Basketball

A native of Ottawa, Yeldon started with the Golden Hawks during the 2010-11 season. In her two seasons with the purple and gold, Yeldon has been a force around the basket with 245 regular season rebounds as well as 298 points in 40 games.
