Whelan named to Team Canada CHEER squad

Courtney Whelan of Mississauga, Ont., a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks cheerleading team, has been selected to join Team Canada at the ICU World Cheerleading Championship in April.

CHEER team claims National Championship

The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks cheerleading team reclaimed the national championship in the University/College All-Girl division this past weekend at the PCA Nationals event hosted at the Powerade Centre.

Cheerleading tryouts announced

The Laurier Cheerleading team will be holding their fall try-out for the 2011-2012 season on Monday, September 12th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Laurier Cheerleading finishes Perfect Season

On March 6th the Laurier Cheerleading team finished off their season with a first place finish at the Cheer Alliance National Championships at the Kitchener Auditorium.

Laura Brooker - LW - Women's Hockey

In her rookie season, Brooker earned OUA Rookie of the Year honours with the women's hockey team after finishing fourth in the conference in scoring with 27 points. After scoring 17 goals in her second year, Brooker is on pace to become Laurier's all-time goal scoring leader.
