ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
UPCOMING
Each week the Department of Athletics and
Recreation in association with the Laurier Bookstore recognizes two athletes as Athletes of the Week. These
athletes, one male and the other female, have performed beyond "the
call of duty" and have aided in bettering their team. Each athlete
receives a gift certificate from the Laurier Bookstore and is put forward for the Athlete of the Week at the provincial (OUA) and if they win there, the national (CIS) level.
Athletes of the week are selected done by a group of media in the Kitchener-Waterloo region after nominations are sent in. They run based upon regular and post season competition and do not include exhibition play.
