WATERLOO - On Friday, Feb. 29th, 2008, the Women's Athletic Association (WAA) traveled to Sandhills Public School in Kitchener to interact with nearly 40 grade six girls to encourage team building and sportsmanship through a variety of cooperative games. The girls were very excited with the appearance of WAA and had fun while being physically active. WAA promoted female participation in sport and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Other upcoming events that WAA will be involved in include a blood donor clinic, Live Fit Day, the Outstanding Women of Laurier event, and the Athletic Banquet. If you are interested in becoming a member, email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more information.
