Golden Hawk Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame, created in 1986, recognizes and honours former Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo Lutheran University and Waterloo College individuals, athletes and teams who have made outstanding contributions to the varsity athletic programs. Since 1986, over 100 athletes and builders as well as 14 teams have been inducted.
Athlete nominations are based upon the individuals playing ability, sportsmanship, contributions to his/her team, leadership and character. The individual must exemplify the spirit and ideals of Wilfrid Laurier University. A five year period after the athletes last date of competition must have elapsed in order for consideration. An athlete must have been a participant in a varsity sport for a minimum of three years.
In order to be nominated as a builder, the individual will have made a long-standing, highly significant contribution to Wilfrid Laurier Athletics as a coach, faculty member, administrator or staff member. Nominees must have been a member of the University community for a minimum of five years while teams must wait 10 years after their accomplishments.
In order for write-in nominations to be considered for the upcoming year, they must be submitted to the Hall of Fame committee by April 1. Nominations received after April 1 will be carried forward to the following year.
