 LettermenWe are a Pro-Active Club consisting of all Male Varsity Athletes. We are responsible for Charity work directed both on campus and throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo Community. This club is a place to unite all the male Varsity sports teams, for the purpose of gaining a broader network of communication and solidarity. The Lettermen Club offers a supportive climate for all male Varsity athletes, their teams, and WLU Athletics as a whole. We encourage team building in the larger sense, above and beyond each individual sport. Some of Our Yearly Highlights Include: Running the Powder Puff Tournament (Women's Flag Football in the Snow) Holding Students Nights at Philithy McNasty's & Caesars Martini's Letterman Kids Day Promoting Participation in Sports at Local Elementary Schools Visiting Children's Wards at Local Hospitals Raising Funds for Charitable Orgainizations About the Powder Puff Tournament: The Lettermen Club is responsible for the organization and running of both the annual Laurier and OUA Powderpuff tournaments. These tournaments are Women's Flag Football games, which are played in the snow on University Stadium. Each year there is approximately 10 Laurier teams that are comprised of 20-30 girls each. The OUA tournament brings in teams from all over the province. Teams travel from Queens, McMaster, Western, Waterloo, Ottawa and Sault St. Marie for the competitive weekend of Powderpuff football. The weekend is finished with a celebratory night.
