The women's fastpitch club has been reaching out to local softball teams by offering clinics and mentoring young females in the game.

Intramural ice hockey is one of the most popular intramurals at Laurier with almost 40 teams competing for the coveted intramural champion t-shirt.

Equipment Highlights
Over 50 pieces of cardio training equipment, including elliptical machines, stair climbers, upright and recumbent bikes, upper body ergometer and rowing machines
Complete cable machine circuit which has been professionally designed to provide a full body workout regardless of your level of experience or fitness
Extensive free weight section - complete with 3 Hammer Strength Power Racks, rubberized dumbbells adn plates, as well as a variety of free weight benches

Fitness Centre Policies
Proper athletic attire (running shoes, athletic shorts/pants and shirt) is to be worn while in the Fitness Centre
Refrain from using inappropriate and disrespectful language
Return weights to proper location after each use
Use of cardio equipment is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes per cardio policy
No slamming of medicine balls
No standing on stability balls (unless supervised by a certified personal trainer or athletics therapist)
Cell phone use is not permitted within the Fitness Centre
Individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Please respect the Fitness Centre staff and their instructions
Please use inclusive and appropriate language while in the fitness centre.
Wilfrid Laurier University's Department of Athletics & Recreation is home to varsity sports as well as numerous intramural, recreation & fitness programs. Over 6,000 students at Laurier participate in 30 intramural sports and 40 recreational programs annually.
All Fitness and Recreational classes and instruction require an additional fee to assist with the instructional component to the class. Registration takes place early in the term through an online process.
