Dell, Anthony show well at CFL Combine
TORONTO (March 26, 2013) - Isaac Dell of Niagara Falls, Ont., and Alex Anthony of Victoria, B.C., two members of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks football team, put in strong performances at last weekend's Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine as they looked to improve their standing heading into the 2013 Canadian College Draft.

Dell, a fourth year full back, had his best performance in the broad jump as his leap of 10 feet, three inches was good enough for third overall and tops among all running backs. He would match that third place showing in the 3-cone drill with a time of 6.962 seconds, which was once again the best showing from the running back contingent

As for Anthony, a fourth year receiver, his time in the spotlight came in the 40-yard dash where his time of 4.626 seconds ranked him eighth overall in the event and third best in the receivers group. He would also place sixth in the shuttle run with a time of 4.101 seconds, once again third best among his fellow receivers.

For a full recap of the combine results, visit www.cfl.ca.

With their final chance to impress CFL teams over, both Dell and Anthony will now wait until May 6 where they will hope to hear their name called at the 2013 Canadian College Draft which will be broadcast live on TSN beginning at 12 p.m.
