Fastpitch Hawks to be on Rick Mercer Report
The Wilfrid Laurier women's fastpitch team is set for Provincial Championship action this weekend in London at Stronach Park. The Golden Hawks placed fifth in regular season action and will begin round robin play against Western on Friday night at 5:30 p.m., and continue against York on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and Queen's on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.. Matchups vs. Western and Queen's will be available via live video streaming on www.oiwfa.org The top three teams in each pool will advance to medal round on Sunday. This weekend will also feature the Rick Mercer Report which will be filming for the show at Stronach Park. Golden Hawks players will be involved in the show and the Queen's vs. Laurier game will feature a mock three innings with Rick involved.
