WATERLOO, Ont. (October 11, 2011) - The Wilfrid Laurier women's lacrosse team were scheduled for 4 games at home on Thanksgiving weekend and were able to come away with three wins and one loss.
The first opponents on a sunny Saturday morning were the Uof T Blues. In a previous meeting the Hawks had secured a one goal win in the last minute of play. The defensive line backed by the goaltending of Hanna Burnett held the U of T scorers to just two goals, both from Tori Wasson. Score at the half: Hawks 5 Blues 1. Final Score: Hawks 10 Blues 2.

This game was much the same with the Hawks playing strong defence backed by goalie Chelsey Clarke. The offence was able to get on the board early and continued to score throughout the firsthalf. Score 8-1 in favour of the Hawks at the 30 minute mark.
