WATERLOO, Ont. - Wilfrid Laurier women's rugby team (0-2) fell to the  Brock Badgers (1-1)  37-0 at University Stadium.

In a rough, penalty-ridden game, the Golden Hawks started off very well with most of the play being in the Badger's end. It was a couple of tries midway through the first half by Brock that led to some disorganized play by Laurier and more points for the visiting team. Misha Maric (Toronto, Ont.) led Brock in points with two tries, two converts and a penalty kick.

While still being shut-out for the second time this season, Laurier did seem like a different team. They were more aggressive in their play, however sthey were still hesitant on a number of key tackles.

A Hawk worth mentioning was Brittany Baxter (Cambridge, Ont.), who showed a great deal of grit and determination, in the face of many tough hits from the Brock players.

Laurier is back at home again for their third game on September 24th at 7:30 p.m. against York University (0-1).
